Who is Paul?

Professionally I am a programmer. My biggest dream is to have my own startup that creates value for the world.

Tell us more about your role in New York Life Insurance Company.

At New York Life I was an entry level technology associate part of a DevOps team that helped support our Salesforce platform for our insurance agents. I have recently joined a young startup in the SaaS affiliate space named SMTM and I am excited to see what this next step brings.

What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?

Learning new things is often difficult but very rewarding when I understand them. Technology is always evolving at a compounding rate.

Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?

The grass is always greener. I have always wondered what it would be like to work in sales role. That being said I do like what I do.

What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?

I think that focusing on the customer is key. The customer always says what they want, the key is to process the things they share from the lenses of truth and reality.

What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?

I think the insurance industry will only get stronger. I think that technology will continue to be a great field to be a part of since it is what carried the economy during the pandemic.

Please name a few technologies which have the greatest impact on your business.

I think that AWS and cloud is just an amazing technology. It makes life much much easier and helps focus on the customer

What books do you have on your nightstand?
